How to Configure Barcode Labels

1. Access the Barcode Configuration Page

  • Follow steps 1 and 2 from the "How to Access the OpenELIS Administrator Module" guide.

  • Click Barcode Configuration under the Master List page.

2. Configure Barcode Label Settings

A. Number of Barcode Labels

  • Set the number of barcode labels to be printed per order and specimen.

  • Once the maximum is reached, additional labels cannot be printed.

B. Barcode Label Elements

  • Check the boxes for optional elements to include on the order and sample barcode labels.

  • Enable Preprinted Barcode Accession Number to use the same accession number format as Order Entry Generation Prefix.

C. Barcode Label Dimensions

  • Set the dimensions for barcode labels when printing.

3. Save the Configuration

  • Click Save to apply the changes.

  • A confirmation message will appear once successfully saved.

  • No labels
